Saint Lucia
Inspire Your Love Story in Saint Lucia | 9 days
Rising majestically above the 600-acre beach front resort of Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain Resort on St. Lucia’s south-western Caribbean coastline is a cornucopia of organic architecture celebrating St. Lucia’s stunning scenic beauty.
As a Saint Lucia Travel Expert & Saint Lucia Romance Travel Expert, it is our goal to set appropriate expectations for our client’s vacation experience. Sometimes that means laying out a sample itinerary for what a week on the island of Saint Lucia may look like. So, for the next few moments let’s head to Saint Lucia, shall we?
Saint Lucia

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Day
The anticipation builds as you fly in comfort making your way south across the Caribbean. As the plane begins to make its descent you get a quick glance of the twin peaks (the pitons) through the clouds and excitement stirs, the clouds disappear and there she is in all her glory the beautiful island of Saint Lucia.
You land at The Hewanorra airport which is St. Lucia’s international airport and is located on the island’s far southern tip. The drive from the airport to the majority of resorts on the island is approximately 60-90 minutes so we recommend our clients take a helicopter transfer.
ELV Tip: Pack a swimsuit and or light-weight change of clothing in your carry-on so you can immediately begin to enjoy the resort upon arrival as luggage will not accompany you on the helicopter and can sometimes be 3 hours behind you.
For the first 3 nights of your Saint Lucia escape, you will stay at Cap Maison Hotel. Cap Maison is a charming hotel perched on the hillside and resembles a small Mediterranean village with its own secluded sandy beach. This perfect hideaway is private yet near Rodney bay area and sits adjacent to the Saint Lucia Golf & Country Club and is one of the most sought-after locations on the island and perfect for those seeking either an active stay or a relaxed retreat both offering outstanding culinary options and is a food and wine lovers paradise as it features 2 of the very best restaurants on the island.
After your short helicopter transfer, you will need to take a short drive to the resort and before you know it you will be sipping a cocktail and taking in stunning views from the rooftop terrace of your private ocean-view suite with a private pool.
Enjoy the rest of your day at your leisure as you get to know your resort.
Day 2
Take your first full day in Saint Lucia to relax and settle in enjoying all the amenities of your home away from home.
Take in a leisurely breakfast and stroll along the beach, why not spend a few hours floating in the pool and take relaxation to a whole new level with an afternoon massage and then enjoy cocktails and a gastronomic masterpiece dinner by the award-winning culinary team at the Cliff at Cap.
Day 3
Take a mid-morning shopping break at the Castries Central Market and pick up locally grown spices, and other gifts to take home. This is also a great way to support the locals.
This afternoon why not head to the beach? The beach at Cap Maison is small in size but don’t let that sway you for it makes up for in it with its water clarity and ambiance. Spend your day in the crystal-clear waters of its lagoon and if your lucky enough to be there at the right time the Naked Fisherman has been known to kick it up a notch and shift to a vibrant beach club vibe.
Guests favourite ‘must do’ is the Cap Maison wine cellar and wine pairing dinner where guests have an educational culinary experience.
In Cap Maison’s own words: “Our enviable collection includes rare champagnes, grand cru Bordeaux, fine burgundies, orange wines, organic and biodynamic wines made naturally, and a collection of fun unpretentious grape varietals from our new world selection. Ask our sommelier to take you to the wine cellar and show you around our collection of 2,000 bottles as he helps you pick your selection. It is possibly the finest wine cellar in Saint Lucia.”
Retreat back to your suite for a restful night’s sleep.
Day 4
A change of scenery – because Saint Lucia has so much to offer on both sides of the islands clients often like to split up their getaways.
In this fictional itinerary, our travellers are heading to Jade Mountain Resort.
Other great hotel pairings include:
- Cap Maison & Sugar Beach by Viceroy
- Ti Kaye & Ladera
- Anse Chastanet & Calabash Cove
After check-out choose to take the scenic drive between resorts in your private transfer or perhaps take the helicopter transfer as it doubles as a sightseeing tour.
Nick Troubetzkoy’s Jade Mountain St. Lucia resort majestically rises above the 600-acre beachfront resort of Anse Chastanet and is located on the south-western coastline of St. Lucia. Built-in harmony with Caribbean nature this impressive design of infinity pool sanctuaries and rugged stone-faced columns that reach for the sky make, Jade Mountain one of the Caribbean’s most mesmerizing resorts. It is here you can expect grand spaces, extravagant private infinity pools and outstanding sweeping views from private 3 walled sanctuaries.
After check-in spend the afternoon taking in views from every angle of your 3-wall private sanctuary where your only limit is your imagination.
Before sunset make your way to the Celestial Terrace the perfect place for sunset cocktails and breath-taking panoramic views before a delightful culinary experience.
After dinner head back to the terrace for a nightcap and stargazing.
Day 5
After breakfast take in more beauty of the island with Sulphur Springs, Diamond Falls and Gardens & Emerald estate tour where you will visit the world’s only drive-in volcano, the Sulphur Springs, en route to the picturesque waterfall at the Diamond Falls & Botanical Gardens. As they are two of the island’s most popular tourist attractions we are fortunate they are so close to the resort making visiting an easy morning excursion. The pools at the mineral baths are filled with therapeutic mineral-rich water which is naturally heated by the volcanic activity in the nearby Sulphur Springs region. Take along bathing suits for a soothing dip. The rejuvenating powers of the water were recognized by the troops of Louis XIV who created the original mineral baths! From Diamond, you will stop in at nearby Emerald Estate, which is owned and operated by the Anse Chastanet Resort who uses the property to grow a great variety of organic fruits and vegetables as well as a variety of herbs for use at the resort.
After lunch take in some water sports or simply pass the afternoon poolside sipping a delightful fruity cocktail or refreshing Piton Beer.
End the day with a Private Sunset Charter and toast the day’s end with a glass of wine or champagne.
ELV Tip: This is by far the most popular excursion so to avoid disappointment make reservations early.
Day 6
Spend the day at leisure taking in all the resort has to offer its guests.
Perhaps a spa treatment, some hiking, bird watching or kayaking whatever your desire the day is yours to make it happen.
Day 7
Today is all about taste.
The Jade Mountain Resort is home to over 2000 cocoa trees on the estate and resort guests can choose from a variety of chocolate-infused activities so today you will start the day with a mid-morning chocolate sensory tasting where you will be taken on an awakening journey through the flavour palate of cocoa and chocolate.
In the afternoon enjoy a premium rum tasting at Anse Mamin. This is an exclusive opportunity to sample various Caribbean premium rums in a beautiful historic setting.
After sunset the ultimate Cast Away romantic private dinner on the beach experience awaits you and your loved one. Dine on incredible fare while sipping champagne as the stars engulf the night sky.
Day 8
Today is your last full day in St. Lucia so a lazy morning with a private in-room breakfast is in order as you relish in the sanctuary experience.
Perhaps in the afternoon head to the beach for a swim in the warm crystal clear waters before walking hand in hand along the beach taking in the gentle breeze, salty air and Caribbean views.
This evening, dine at the Jade Mountain Club a spectacular setting with breath-taking views, modern fusion cuisine & exceptional wines.
Day 9
This day has come too soon, it’s time to depart and return home and pack up all those incredible St. Lucia memories you’ve created together.
Your private transfer will pick you up approximately 3.5/4 hours before your international flight.
